Findings

Complete thickness defect involving the flexor digitorum profundus and flexor digitorum superficialis tendons of the ring finger seen in sagittal PDFS image(1). Corresponding axial PDFS(2) and axial T1(3) images demonstrate non-visualization of the respective tendons of the ring finger with associated soft tissue edema. The tendons proximal to the defect show retraction and wavy appearance as seen in the coronal STIR(4) image.
