For cases of pancreatitis, it is imperative to know the types of pancreatitis i.e. interstitial edematous and necrotizing pancreatitis. It is also important to know the anatomy of retroperitoneum and associated findings of pancreatitis. For accurate reporting, it is necessary to be aware of Atlanta classification and modified CT severity index for pancreatitis.
