1. Small T2 hyperintense soft tissue lesion is seen in the left side of face in the subcutaneous planes. 2. The lesion is located anterior to the left parotid gland and shows similar signal intensity as the left parotid gland. The bilateral parotid glands and the left sided lesion show multiple internal T2 hyperintense cysts. 4. MIP of Sialography shows multiple T2 hyperintense cysts involving the bilateral parotid glands.
Diagnosis
Accessory left parotid gland with Sjogren’s syndrome.
Summary
Sjogren’s syndrome has a characteristic appearance on MRI as seen in this case.
