Findings

A linear hypodense structure is seen in jejunal loop of umbilical and left lumbar regions showing bowel within bowel appearance. Bowel within bowel appearance was seen only in contrast images and was not seen in non-contrast images.

Diagnosis

Intestinal ascariasis with transient jejuno jejunal intussusception.

Summary

Ascaris lumbricoides is a fairly common intestinal nematode, leading to major medical and surgical complications. Although most of the cases are asymptomatic, heavy infestation causes various acute abdominal complications. Ascaris-induced intestinal intussusception is one of the rare presentations. Search for ascariasis should be done in children and adults presenting with abdominal pain.
